The jobless rate in Nova Scotia fell last month. It dropped to 6.5 per cent in May from 7.2 per cent. The national unemployment rate increased slightly to seven per cent. Statistics Canada says the economy added 8,800 jobs mostly in wholesale and retail trade, while the manufacturing industry shed 12,000 jobs.
